Marching Band Earns Superiors

Spruce Creek High School "High Steppin"
Hawks
Marching Band received "straight" Superior Ratings at the
Florida Bandmasters Association
Marching Performance Assessment (MPA) this past Saturday,
Nov. 1 at Spec
Martin Stadium in
Deland, Florida.
The Spruce Creek Marching Band was adjudicated by a panel of music
educators who judged the band in music performance, marching
performance, general effect, and
color guard
performance. The band received all "A" ratings in all
categories. The Spruce Creek continued it's 23 year tradition of
Superior ratings in
marching band
festivals.

SPRUCE CREEK WINTER CONCERT - DECEMBER 18 - FREE TO THE PUBLIC!
The next performance by the Spruce Creek Bands, Orchestra and
Color Guard will be at the annual prism concert on Thursday,
December 18, 2008 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port
Orange. The concert is a fast-paced review of solos, small
ensembles, orchestra, jazz bands, concert bands and the entire
marching band. The Annual Concert begins at 7:30pm and is free to
the general public. A free-will offering will take place to raise
money for their upcoming musical tour to Germany, Austria and the
Netherlands. For more information about the concert on December
